'Dindi' is a type of Maharashtrian religious dance with Bhajans. It is done during the pilgrimage 'Yatra' of Pandharpur in Maharashtra. The Yatra is organized on 'Aashadhi Ekadashi'.

Thousands of people go to Pandharpur reciting Bhajans of 'Vitthala' Shree Krishna and dancing.

In Gurukul, We too celebrate this famous festival of pilgrimage........

celebration of 'Dindi' in Gurukul

on 4th july 'Dindi' was organised in Gurukul. It's Aashadhi Ekadashi when this very famous religious Yatra with a type of Maharashtrian Danceand reciting Bhajans of Pandharpur is celebrated in Maharashtra. In Gurukul too we celebrated this festival with great joy. The students came wearing 'Varkari's dress- Dhoti kurta and girls were in Saree. There was a "Palakhi" of Vitthal (shri Krishna). and the students were dancing with the rythem of Lezim reciting 'Vitthal Vitthal Vitthala'.
